For Preliminary Task 1, I have been assigned to plan out Props and Costumes.
Our film will be featuring two characters, Mark Jameson, and Wither, aka 'Mr Bad Man'.
Mark Jameson:
Mark is the film's protagonist, a very 'light' and 'joyful' character. He is a content creator/ film maker. His character is also very oblivious to the situation that he's walking into.
For this character we want to take a more 'casual', 'trendy' almost 'streetwear' approach on his costume. What he will be wearing:
Hoodie:
-This could vary colours, however we want to avoid darker shades, such as black or brown.
-A plain T-shirt can be worn underneath.
Pants:
-A basic/casual pair of Chinos or Jeans, preferably not tight/too skinny.
-Again want to avoid dark colours
Shoes:
-High-top shoes
-Not too fancy, more like streetwear
Camcorder:
-This will be Mark's prop, as he is a content creator
-Our filming camera will be used for camcorder POV shots
Car:
-Our Match-on-action shot will be filmed with a car door
-Mark will be getting out of the car and entering the forest for his 'film shoot'
Wither:
Wither is the Antagonist of the film, he's a very 'dark' and 'chilling' character. He has the intention of 'kidnapping' Mark.
For this character we want a very 'mysterious', 'chilling', and an almost 'brooding' approach to his costume. What he will be wearing:
Hoodie:
-Needs to be black, or as close to black as possible
Pants:
-Jeans or Chinos, need to be as black as possible
Shoes:
-Need to be as black as possible
-Can be any style as long as skin isn't showing
Gloves:
-Need to be as black as possible
-Preferably leather
Rope:
-This will be Wither's prop/ 'weapon'
-Preferably not tactical/climbing rope, needs to be more 'rustic' and 'old'
-Can't be too thick, preferably between thick and thin
